During the summer months I (Kasey) spent 3 months interning for the US Navy. I have visited, worked and lived in America many times before I never came into much contact with politics, however this time I found myself in the midst of a ridiculously expensive election campaign that was sat on the world stage. I was thrust into a whole new environment where your political opinion really did matter. “I’m Barrack Obama and I approve this message” commercial complaints aside, I learnt so much about how Americans really feel about the politics of their politics…
