Volume Three, issue one

Editor’s letter

Welcome to Volume 3 Issue one of Capital Letters. We are humbled to take over from the amazing Alice, who has propelled the magazine forward, in an engaging and exciting manner. This year we hope to expand our horizons beyond exploring contemporary America and Canada, and showcase our rich diversity in topics and themes. In this issue we are celebrating art, politics, films and so much more which will hopefully exhibit our passion across the cultures. This magazine does not only reflects the diversity of the American and Canadian Studies centre, but unifies students across the department across all years. Whether you want to do reviews, blogs or something wildly creative such as comic strips, music and art, as we want to ignite your imagination. Therefore this is the perfect platform for students to discuss their key interests and dive deeper into their creative pursuits in writing.

With warmest thanks, Robbie McDonald: Rxm170@studentbham.ac.uk Stefan Pace: Stp254@studentbham.ac.uk Aileen Suresh: axs1005@studentbham.ac.uk
